Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, Corinne Fisher
For eighteen years (1983-2001) a fixture of radio & television’s Howard Stern Show, comedian Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling was born and raised in East Norwich, a tiny hamlet on the glorious North Shore of Long Island, New York. He graduated in 1966 from Oyster Bay High School and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1971.
As he was accumulating the world’s most extensive collection of jokes, Jackie toiled in the music business until abandoning it in 1979, saying farewell to his beloved trio “The Off Hour Rockers,” to give his punch lines a shot on the not-yet-existent Long Island comedy stages.
To promote Long Island’s first comedy show that he and fellow fledgling comedian Richie Minervini partnered in producing at the bar-restaurant “Cinnamon” in Huntington, Long Island, in March, 1979, he created a dirty joke line, “Use Your Finger! Dial (516) 922-WINE!,” which has been in uninterrupted operation since 1979 [516-922-9463].
The jokes worked. Jackie released three self-produced comedy lp’s, 1979’s “What Did You Expect?,” 1980’s “Goin’ Ape!,” and 1981’s “Normal People Are People You Don’t Know That Well” on his own label, OHR Records.
In 1982, after founding “Governor’s Comedy Shop” in Levittown on Long Island and touring as a national headliner, on a suggestion from a Washington DC comedy club owner, he blindly sent his three LP’s to Howard Stern upon Howard’s arrival at WNBC-AM in New York City. Howard called him to make a guest appearance on his radio show. In 1986, Jackie became a full-time cast member and the head writer of Stern’s show, and as they say, the rest is history. Remarkable radio as well as show business history.
Jackie left the Stern show in 2001 after fifteen-year run as head writer of the radio show, four television series, and three Pay-Per-Views. He’s released six dirty joke CD’s … “The Joke Man,” “Sgt. Pecker,” “Hot Dogs & Donuts,” Come Again?!,” F. jackie,” and “snart,” as well as three videos, five joke books and countless joke gadgets of all kinds, for children as well as adults.

He Tweets a joke every day at 4:20pm … you can follow him on Twitter, @jackiemartling …
In 2006 he released a CD of his original music entitled “Happy Endings,” that he co-produced with guitar legend Frank Vignola.
From 2007-2014, Jackie wrote and performed his own radio show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, “Jackie’s Joke Hunt,” and he wrote the joke page for Penthouse magazine for 17 years.
Jackie is featured in the red-hot comedy documentary, “The Aristocrats,” over a dozen other independent films, and has appeared on many television shows.
He still works all around the country performing his solo act of rapid-fire filthy jokes and the classic finale, “Stump The Joke Man.” and guests on many of the top national radio shows and podcasts.
Known as @PhilanthropyGal on Twitter (slightly tongue-in-cheek…), in 2012 CORINNE performed in a series of benefit shows for the AFGHAN WOMEN’S WRITING PROJECT alongside other female New York comedians including SNL alum RACHEL DRATCH. Over the past few years, CORINNE has been selected to perform in the prestigious BOSTON COMEDY FESTIVAL, the WOMEN IN COMEDY FESTIVAL, THE LAUGHING DEVIL COMEDY FESTIVAL & the SHE-DEVIL FESTIVAL. On YouTube, she is the messed up mind behind Internet vlogger GINA SPRINKLES and the voice of ‘TOIBA’ on the cartoon web series MYSTERY SQUAD GALS, the brainchild of RYAN DUFF.
Perhaps most notably, however, CORINNE is 1/2 of SORRY ABOUT LAST NIGHT…, her comedy writing and performance duo with KRYSTYNA HUTCHINSON. In December 2013, the duo launched Guys We Fucked: The Anti Slut-Shaming Podcast that now boasts a million+ listeners worldwide. Having featured celebs such as AMBER ROSE, STOYA, DAN SAVAGE, JIM NORTON, ARTIE LANGE, HORATIO SANZ, ANDY DICK, LIZZ WINSTEAD (Co-Creator of “The Daily Show”) and JENNI ‘JWOWW’ FARLEY (“Jersey Shore”) in addition to real gents they’ve had their way with, the podcast is consistently ranked among the Top 5 comedy podcasts on iTunes (but has reached as high as #1) and has been featured on The Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, Splitsider, Mother Jones, Perez Hilton, Elle, A.V. Club, E! Online, People, US Magazine, and Bust as well as OPIE & JIM on Sirius Radio and NBC’s LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY. Previously, the duo wrote and starred in a self-titled sketch show that debuted at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in NYC in the Spring of 2013 (Dir. Jon Bershad) and co-hosted a popular underground comedy variety show of the same name that has had homes at the Brooklyn Winery, The PIT and originated at Gotham City Improv. The show was like the best college keg party you’ve ever been to and featured comedy faves such as HANNIBAL BURESS & KURT METZGER as well as cult folk-rock sensation DAN BERN.
Most recently, CORINNE and KRYSTYNA were invited to do a live recording of the #GuysWeFucked podcast at the JUST FOR LAUGHS FESTIVAL in Montreal, Canada. Their first show sold out so quickly that a second show had to be added, which also sold out. They have also sold out the main room at The World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood where they were joined by special guests DANE COOK, NEAL BRENNAN & OWEN BENJAMIN. Additionally, they were also guest editors for GLAMOUR MAGAZINE where they penned their own take on the all-too-familiar “How To Please Your Man” article.
In 2014, CORINNE made her television stand-up debut on FOX’s LAUGHS on the special “Under 30” episode. She also co-hosts a monthly show at NEW YORK COMEDY CLUB called NACHO BITCHES with BLAIR SOCCI (MTV’s “Ladylike”) where GARY GULMAN, YANNIS PAPPAS, ARI SHAFFIR, BONNIE MCFARLANE, KEVIN MEANEY, and SNL’s PETE DAVIDSON are regular drop-ins. In the Summer of 2015, FISHER and fellow comic KATIE HANNIGAN created THE COMEDIENNE PROJECT (Dir. TED ALEXANDRO), a show challenging its participants to write and perform twenty new minutes of stand-up sans sex, dating, or relationship material, which was accepted into The NYC Fringe Festival and is now a monthly show at The Standing Room.
CORINNE holds a BFA in Film & Video from the School of Visual Arts, has been trained in the Stanislavski method by Joie Lee (“Do The Right Thing”) and is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre’s prestigious improvisation training program. She loves ice cream and the Spice Girls.
